Garage Door Repair Louis V. Deleted
My garage door repair in St Louis has been an ongoing battle with the garage door springs that support the overhead door. I’ve actually had to cut the springs after one of the “live” bolts broke, because the old fastener had failed. Not a pretty sight. But let’s face it… having to remove and replace garage door springs can be scary. This is my home, and I’m not going to mess with the structure of it to save a buck or two. But despite the obvious dangers, garage door repair in St Louis has a little bit to offer me.
I live off of Fwy 61 in south central St Louis. This area is east of St Louis City, and includes many suburban communities like Normandy, Washington Park, Elwood, Hazelwood, and South Chicago. Due to the winding roads, and busy street life, many people don’t realize that there is an active road garage in this neighborhood, until they come a long way down the road and see it broken into several pieces. It’s funny how the world works, but I guess it does help when you need a garage door repair in St Louis, Missouri.
It wasn’t until I was driving along this portion of the interstate that I noticed that there was a sign for garage door repair just down the street from my house. So I stopped my car, and went to check it out. Well, I’m a busy guy, and I couldn’t find any garage door repair workers in the area. I would have to drive all the way over to the other side of town to fix it. I’m pretty sure that if there were garage door repair workers in this town, they were busier than I was.
Luckily, I had a friend who lives about three miles away from me in town, and he told me that he knew of a garage door repair man that could fix my problem in no time. So I went on over to his house to ask him if he had some kind of a garage door in his garage. He said he did, and the garage door was not that expensive, so I decided to take care of it myself. I brought my toolbox with me, because I was still kind of nervous about the whole thing.
Once I got to my house, I saw that the garage door repair man did in fact have a lot of tools, but very few things to fix. I asked him if he could do one simple job, like replacing the spring inside of my garage door, so I could open it up again. His answer to me was that he did not know. He let me know that he would be able to get me a quote on a garage door spring, and would probably be able to start work the next day. I was happy to have the garage door repaired, but was glad that he was so helpful.
The whole process took me about two days total, and I was happy that I could do it myself. This is actually the kind of garage door repair that can wait if you are not sure how to fix it. The good part about it is that the garage door repair company will come out when they want, and you do not have to worry about them coming during a time when you are not at home.
